Managing Consultant, Cable & Wireless 2007 – 2008

On the critical path of an on-going major business restructuring and transformation programme, I was engaged to evolve and fine-tune the existing technical pre-sales architecture and consulting capability across the enterprise delivery function at C&W.

This role involved leading and managing senior pre-sales Solutions Consultants across primary business sectors (Utilities, Transport, Oil & Gas) enabling in excess of £250M annual order value, through my engagement with the Sector Sales lead, the Account Management and Delivery teams and the Service Delivery function. The key aim of this role is to maximise the value add of the technical Professional Services and Pre-sales teams and to build an effective practice of highly-skilled pre-sales Solutions Architects.

Key Results included:

  • Reduced costs while delivering enhanced and improved pre-sales solutions consultancy
  • Team-building to define and support transformation targets of the business
  • Delivered support to team wins with Centrica, Thames Water,
  • C-level engagement, internally and with customers
